ANT Heart rate belt
When you select ANT, the search for an ANT heart rate belt will start, the magnifying glass is blinking.
When a belt has been found the actual value will appear where the three bars next to the heart
symbol are.
Use Arrow right to confirm the setting and go to choose sound.
Sound
Sound On is blinking. Change from On to Off using Arrow up or Arrow down. When sound is on, the
symbol will appear at the bottom of the display. Use Arrow right to go to the next step.
Connecting the brake
The data on the last brake connected will appear on the display. Using Arrow up, you can start the
search for a i-Vortex brake, in case of warranty for instance. The magnifying glass is blinking. When
a brake has been found the serial number, the firmware version number and voltage will appear.
Arrow right saves the connected brake to memory and continues to next step.
Brake calibration
Calibrationvalue0appearsintoprightpartofscreen.Rideataspeedhigherthan30km/hor19
mi/h until the word Stop appears to start up calibration. When you stop the i-Vortex computer will
measure the deceleration of the rear wheel and the new calibration value will appear on the display.
Arrow right saves the calibration value to memory and continues to next step.
When calibration has failed, for instance because you started cycling during the measurement, the display will
show CAL FAIL. Use Arrow up to start calibration again.
Settings before the start
The accuracy of the i-Vortex power display depends on de pressure of the roll on the tyre, tyre
pressure, variable magnet forces and mains tension variations, amongst other things. In order to
guarantee correct measurement of power you need to calibrate the brake. For optimum calibration
we recommend you ride for 3 minutes at least, to ensure the brake is properly warmed up.
Scale factor
The value for scale factor is blinking. When you start cycling you activate the function to adjust the
scale factor. Next to speed, the power corresponding to the scale factor in question will appear. If you
possess an external power meter you can compare these values. Using Arrow up or Arrow down you
canadjustthei-Vortex’scalefactorbetween80thru120untilthedisplayedpowerhasbeenlevelled.
Arrow right saves the scale factor and continues to next step.
Body weight
Body weight – without the bike - is blinking. Using Arrow up or Arrow down you can set weight
between40thru120kg.Bypressing OK you confirm the settings and go to the training display.
