Not only does this buer your signal to avoid treble-loss,
but it also gives you the ability to boost the overall signal
level, compensating for long cables and/or signal losses
from running a lot of pedals. You can also use it as a pick-up
booster, if you need a little more output from your instru-
ment.
Try setting the beef control at minimum and listen to the
sound when using either bypass conguration. Depending
on your setup, you may hear a clearer, more open sound
when using the buered bypass. Then adjust the beef
knob to taste.
The TUNEMASTER can be used in true bypass or in buered
bypass mode. The toggle switch between the in/out jacks
should be set to the right for true bypass and to the left for
buered bypass.
The true bypass routes the input signal directly to the output.
In essence, when you are not tuning, it is as if the TUNEMAS-
TER isn´t even there.
The buered bypass lets you use the TUNEMASTER as a line
driver with an adjustable output level, called the beef” con-
trol. In this conguration, the beef control goes from unity
Bypass mode
