Using Capitalization
Acronyms should be consistently spelled in capital letters only.
Example
Instead of: You must explicitly select sx api support or your frame buffer driver will not be
loaded.
Use: You must explicitly select SX API Support or your frame buffer driver will not be
loaded.
Rule: Use only capital letters for acronyms.
Using Spelling Variations
Many variations in spelling include differences in capitalization and hyphenated vs.
non-hyphenated spelling of a word. Compare the following examples:
When running the calibration from the Macintosh Application Diagnostics, there
is a possibility that auto focus may be disabled dependent on the last scan
performed.
The inclusion of Auto Focus within the Xcalibur VLF will increase the
manufacturing capability of the drum while maintaining very consistent image

Lexical Ambiguities
Disambiguation of Product Names and Menus
Product names and menus cannot be easily differentiated from basic words in the
sentence. Menus and product names should be marked by typographical variants to
avoid ambiguity.
Examples using uppercase as a differentiating marker - entry Return (proper noun) in UD.
