Screen Item Purpose
Title Bar Contains the name of the application and Windows controls for
minimizing, maximizing, and closing the SDM window and application.
Menu Bar Contains the SDM menus. Each menu has a list of commands you can
click to perform various SDM activities (see page 164).
Standard Toolbar Provides buttons for commonly used SDM commands (see page 169).
Lookup Operators
Toolbar
Lets you define lookup operators for dictionary entries (see page 169).
Main Area The area where you perform SDM activities.
Status Bar Displays status messages at the bottom of the SDM window
Displaying or Hiding SDM Toolbars
By default, all SDM toolbars are displayed. If you will not be using certain functions, you
may want to hide the toolbar for those functions to reduce the items on your screen.
To hide or display SDM toolbars:
1. On the View menu, point to Toolbars. A list of toolbars appears. A
checkmark next to a toolbar name means the toolbar is displayed.
