CS-428i
Applicable in many different environments
CS-428i is a RS232 to RS422/485 converter with an enhanced Opto-Isolation feature (3KV) specialized for
industrial purposes that require high stability and reliability in communication. It supports communication speed
of up to 921.6Kbps for RS232 side as well as RS422 and RS485 sides. It is available in two different models
depending on the type of external power supply: the AC powered CS-428i (AC) and DC powered CS-428i (DC).
Opto Isolation
CS-428i’s Opto-Isolation protects up to DC 3KV between RS232 and RS422, RS485 sides. Opto-isolation
perfectly isolates two ends of communication so that the device can be protected from unfavorable
conditions such as ground potential differences, lightning and line interference. Thus a more stable and
reliable communication is guaranteed.
Overview
Power Isolation between RS232 side and RS422, RS485 side is implemented by DC-DC Converter.
Signal Isolation between RS232 side and RS422/485 side is implemented by Opto-Coupler
