5.1.2 EMC-compliant Electrical Installation
Pay attention to the following recommendations to ensure
EMC-correct electrical installation.
•
Use only shielded/armored motor cables and
shielded/armored control cables.
•
Connect the shield to ground at both ends.
•
Avoid installation with twisted shield ends
(pigtails), because this may aect the shielding
eect at high frequencies. Use the cable clamps
provided instead.
•
It is important to ensure good electrical contact
from the installation plate through the installation
screws to the metal cabinet of the frequency
converter.
•
Use starwashers and galvanically conductive
installation plates.
•
Do not use unshielded/unarmored motor cables
in the installation cabinets.
