1.4 Notes on location selection
Please note the following when selecting a location:
■ Avoid a location where highly flammable materials are handled.
■ Avoid a location where flammable, aggressive or corrosive gases may be generated, stored
or leaked, or where volatile flammable materials are treated.
■ Avoid a location where oily, acid or basic vapors can be generated, stored or leaked
■ Avoid a location where corrosion may damage the indoor unit or where the indoor unit is
exposed to vapors, organic solvents, foreign objects, or strong contamination.
■ Avoid a location with persistently salty air or high humidity.
■ Avoid a location with poor voltage supply.
■ The indoor unit must not be installed in all types of vehicles or in switchgear.
■ Avoid a location close to machines that are generating electromagnetic waves.
2 Installation information
The indoor unit may only be installed and connected by trained specialists. Faulty
installation and connection work, repairs and maintenance can lead to electric shock, short
circuit, leakage, fire hazard, malfunctions or damage to property.
The VRF-AHU Kit cannot be connected to a heat recovery system SYSVRF
OUTDOOR AIR EVO HR.

■ Check to see if this guide fits your device and that you have the latest document.
■ Read this installation manual carefully.
■ Follow the instructions in this manual.
■ When installing on metallic substrates, ensure electrical insulation according to
standards and technical rules.
■ Switch on the power supply only after a thorough check of the work.
■ Technical changes that are made to the specifications given in this manual could be
done without prior notice.
2.2 Installation order
Proceed as follows:
(1) Select the location
(2) Install the VRF-AHU Kit
(3) Install the outdoor unit
(4) Install the connecting pipe
(5) Wiring
(6) Test operation
