6 Electrical connection
6.1 Safety instructions
■ This device may only be installed and connected by specially trained personnel
who is familiar with the safety standards of electrical engineering.
■ The design of the electrical cables must comply with local and national legal
requirements.
■ An all-current-sensitive residual current circuit breaker must be provided in the
supply line.
■ In the supply line, use an all-pole disconnector with at least 3 mm contact
spacing and use only fixed wiring.
■ A polychloroprene-coated, flexible cable (corresponding to 60245 IEC 57) must be
used as the line material for the voltage supply and the control cables between
the indoor and outdoor units.
■ The indoor units must be connected separately from the outdoor units and
separately fused.
■ For the electrical connection of the outdoor unit, refer to the installation manual
of the outdoor unit.
■ Indoor and outdoor units must be earthed.
■ Never apply power to the terminals of the control cables.
■ Supply voltage and control cables must be laid separately with a sufficient
distance (at least 5 mm) to avoid interfering influences.
■ All electrical cables must not come into contact with heat sources, the insulation
could melt and lead to a short circuit and fire hazard.
■ The control cables between the indoor and outdoor units can be installed
together with heat-insulated refrigerant lines.
■ Ensure that the wiring is correct before the power supply is turned on. Never
switch on the air conditioning units without the required refrigerant charge.
