16.2.2 Expansion units EXOline
Communication between the master and expansion units takes place via EXOline. The slave
controllers will be given the addresses 241:1 and 241:2 (ELA:PLA) respectively.
16.2.3 Presigo pressure transmitter as an expansion unit
Presigo is a pressure transmitter with one or two built-in differential pressure sensors. It is possible to
connect up to four Presigos via EXOline.
Presigo also contains two universal inputs per device, which can be configured to either analogue or
digital functionality. The transmitters are configured as expansion units. Presigo communicates via
EXOline, uses the device names 3, 4, 5 and 6 and follows the configuration entered in E tool
©
or the
display.
Presigo should use the following EXOline address:

Models with two pressure transmitters use PLA:ELA address 242:1 or 242:2 as their factory setting.
Models with one pressure transmitter use address 242:3 or 242:4, depending on how DIP-switch 6 is
set. To change the ELA address from 1 to 2 for models with two pressure transmitters, and from 3 to
4 for models with only one pressure transmitter, change DIP-switch 6 from “OFF” to “ON”. Next,
cut the supply voltage to the Presigo for a short while and then power it up again.
If expansion unit 3 or 4 is to be used for models with one pressure transmitter, the Presigo has to be
externally configured to PLA:ELA address 242:1 or 242:2. These settings can be entered using
EXOtest. Models with two pressure transmitters must be similarly configured to PLA:ELA address
242:3 or 242:4 if they are to be used as expansion unit 5 or 6.
If the address is set externally to any PLA:ELA address other than the factory setting (i.e. using a
software tool), the address will not be changed if any of the DIP-switches are altered and the unit is
powered down and then powered up again.
However, if a factory reset is performed by pressing the pushbutton, the setting of the DIP-switches
will be read again. The Presigo will then return to its factory-set address.
NOTE: Please note that all changes entered into the Presigo will be reset to their factory settings if
the button is depressed for 10 seconds or more!
