The Systema Professional Training
Weapon Model M4-A1 is equipped with
a collapsible (retractable) stock. The
butt stock can be extended or retracted
to suit different tactical requirements.
To change the position of the stock,
simply depress the stock release lever
located on the bottom of the stock. This
is typically accomplished by a “squeeze”
action with the user’s thumb applying
pressure on the top of the stock, while
the index and middle fingers apply
pressure on the lever. Once the lever is
depressed, slide the stock to the desired
position, and release the locking lever.
Lightly pull the stock forward or aft to
lock it securely onto one of the pre-set
locking position, before shouldering and
firing the weapon.

Weapon Model M4-A1 is also equipped
with a flat-top receiver and
. The rail system atop
the receiver can be used to mount
various accessories, most commonly
rifle scopes. To remove the carrying
handle, simply loosen the two thumb-
screws by turning them counter-
clockwise, then lift the carrying handle
away.
