123 Chapter 14: Organize Videos and Record TV Programs with Video Station
To launch Video Station:
 Go to Main Menu and click Video Station.
 Type the following web address in the address bar of your web browser:
http://Synology_Server_IP_Address/video/
To connect via mobile devices:
You can download DS video from Apple's App Store to play videos in Video Station with your iOS device. For
more information about DS video, see "Chapter 19: Communicate with Mobile Devices" on Page 174.
Categorize Your Videos
Video can be categorized into movie, TV show, home video, and TV recording as shown on the left panel of
Video Station. You can also manage your video collections by adding them to favorites or watchlist for quick
access.
Create Video Folders
You as DSM admin or users belonging to the administrators group need to create video folders for movie, TV
show, home video, and TV recording first to store your videos before managing files with Video Station.
To create video folders:
1 Select any video tab on the left panel, and go to Settings > Video Folder (for movie/TV show/home video) or
Settings > TV Recording (for TV recording).
Note: If this is your first time using Video Station, a prompt will appear taking you to the setup page once the
application is launched. Click OK to continue.
