Chapter 14: Organize Videos and Record TV
Programs with Video Station
Video Station allows you to organize your collection of movies, TV shows, and home videos into a media platform
on which you can watch and play video clips, live stream and record digital TV programs with a USB DTV dongle
(sold separately) plugged into your DiskStation, view and edit video metadata whose information is retrieved
automatically from the Internet.
With Video Station, you can also stream videos to your iPhone or iPad for playback.
This chapter explains how to install Video Station, categorize videos by video type, edit video metadata, record
and live stream digital TV programs for playback.
Install Video Station
Go to Main Menu > Package Center to install Video Station.
To install Video Station:
Under the Available tab, click Install to install the package, and follow the installation steps of “Manage
Packages” on Page 96.
When the installation is complete, the package will be moved to the Installed tab and the Main Menu will
automatically expand with the package’s thumbnail on it.
