onscreen instructions to update your system.
Installing the PCS Connection Manager

Software
To install the software, you can either:
䊳 Connect the host and the Handheld/Pocket PC before you
install the software to the host. (In this case, you are
prompted to initiate the download as soon as the
software installation is complete.)
– or –
䊳 Install the software to the host and then connect the host
and the Handheld/Pocket PC, as described here.
This process installs the PCS Connection Manager Software
and the PCS Connection Card drivers.
Installing the PCS Connection Manager Software on the Host
To install the software on the host:
1. Close any Windows programs that are running and insert
the PCS Connection Manager installation CD in your CD-
ROM drive. The CD should auto-start and display a menu.
2. If the CD does not auto-start, select Start > Run and enter
d:\launch.exe where d is the drive letter of your CD-ROM
drive.
3. From the CD start-up window, select:
䊳 Pocket PC installation and documentation then Pocket PC
software installation (if you have a Pocket PC running
Windows CE 3.0 MS Pocket PC), or
䊳 Pocket PC 2002 installation and documentation then
Pocket PC 2002 software installation (if you have a Pocket
PC running Windows CE 3.0 Pocket PC 2002), or
䊳 Handheld PC 2000 installation and documentation then
Handheld PC 2000 software installation (if you have a
Handheld PC running Windows CE 3.0)
This launches the InstallShield
®
Wizard that installs the
software to the host.
