Setting up the Phone
1.Press MENU.
2.Scro ll do wn to using the # > key to Syste m Se tup, press SND.
3.Press SND when the screen highlig hts Ne twork.
4.Fo r Net ID, enter the S24 AP Net_ID, press SND.
5.Fo r IP Addre ss, enter the IP a ddress assigned to Pho ne, press SND.
To write o ver existing IP addresses use CLR.
6.Fo r Subne t mask, enter the netwo rk subnet mask, press SND.
7.Fo r the DFT G TW ADR (default g ateway address), enter the IP g ateway
address used to access the pho ne systems and g atekeeper, press SND.
8.Fo r the PO TS G TW ADR (plain o ld telepho ne service g ateway address),
enter the IP g ateway address fo r accessing PO TS lines directly,
press SND.
9.Fo r the FTP IP ADR (FTP IP address), enter the IP FTP server address
fro m which the pho ne can do wnlo a d its co nfig uratio n file.

Dia ling
The NetVISIO N Pho ne features include dialing by:
·a co mplete IP addressee entry
·a partial IP addressee entry
·an extensio n
·a speed-dial key
·a previo us-numb er redial
·na mes internally mapped to an IP address
·dialing 9 to access an o utside line.
The dialing pro cess beg ins by pressing any dialing -related key, including :
·the numeric keys, *, and #
·the RC L key
·the scro ll keys
·the NAME key.
To dial by extensio n number, enter the number a nd press SND. To dial by
co mplete o r partial IP Address, enter * fo llo wed by the IP address o r last
three digits, press SND. To use the redial feature, press RCL to displa y
last number entered, press SND.
To dial by name, press NAME. A list o f names display o n the screen.
Scro ll thro ug h the names until the desired name appears, press the
Select o r SND. If the user presses Select, the selected na me and IP
address display. Pressing SND, with o r witho ut first pressing Select, call
setup pro cessing beg ins. The user can mo ve to names beginning with
o ther letters b y pressing a numeric key a fter pressing the NAME key.
Cancel the dialing sequence at any time by pressing END.
Speed Dial N umbers
The NetVISIO N Pho ne pro vides 100, two -digit speed-dial locatio ns fo r
frequently dialed numbers. To enter a speed-dial number, type in the
number and press STO . Enter a two -digit access number, press STO . To
use the speed dial numbers, press RCL and enter the two -digit access
number. Press SND to dial a sto red number.
Receiving ca lls
The NetVISIO N pho ne pro vides three metho ds to respo nd to a call:
·Auto answer
·Single key answer/ refuse
·Any key answer
The NetVISIO N Pho ne no tifies users o f inco ming calls by so unding
ring ing to nes. The caller name and address display o n the pho ne screen.
The user can refuse a call b y pressing END. When refused, the call
appears to the caller as unanswered.
Users can co nfigure the pho ne to answer calls auto matically. The Auto
Answer mo de answers calls after a sing le ring . The call activates
immediately.
The Sing le-Key answer mo de requires users to press the SND key to
accept a ca ll. Pressing any key o ther than END has no effect.
The Any-Key answer mo de allows users to press any key except END to
accept a ca ll.
Setting User Options
When selecting o ptional features, use SND as the enter key. Use END to
scro ll back o ne selectio n o n the menu. To Navig ate thro ug h the menus,
use the *< Key to scroll up and # > to scro ll do wn.
Press the Menu key. A cho ice between User O ptio ns, Maintenance,
System Setup and Mfg Test displays. Select User O ptio ns, press SND. To
access specific user o ptio ns, highlight a selectio n a nd press SND.
User Options include:
·Pho ne Ring: a cho ice b etween six to nes, vibratio n o r LED display.
·Pho ne Aswr: set the pho ne to answer auto matically (Auto ), by pressing
o ne key (SND), o r pressing any key.
·Ring Vo lume: press *< to turn the ringer vo lume do wn. Press # > to turn
the ring er volume up.
·Play Vo lume: set volume level press *< to turn do wn # > to turn up.
·Co ntrast: press *< to turn the co ntrast do wn. Press # > to turn the
co ntrast up.
·Clear SD: clea r speed dial numbers pro grammed into the pho ne.
Push SND to select. The system prompts the user to indica te if 
clearing the speed dial is co rrect. Press SND again to clear
speed-dial numbers.
Broa dcast/ Intercom Mode
The Pho ne suppo rts bro a dcast o r interco m-style
calls. In this mo de, the user can send a message
to several o ther phones. ((Ho w many? ? )) The
message transmits immediately to the
intended receivers. Co nfigure
each receiving Pho ne to
allo w b ro adcast messag es
to preempt existing
calls if desired.
Multiple
Conversa tions
The Pho ne suppo rts two
co ncurrent
co nversations. The user
can switch between calls
using the HO LD key.
The user can put o ne
caller o n ho ld while
placing ano ther call.
