Note: Pressing the scroll buttons or keys after pressing RCL displays the
speed-dial directory.
Dialing to Extensions or the PSTN
Only phones using gateway telephony can make calls outside to the PSTN
either via the PBX or directly via the gateway.
To call an outside number:
1. Dial the outside line access code and the number.
2. Press SND.
The phone sends the number to the gateway using the IP address for the
gateway stored in the phone The gateway picks the call and passes the
call to the PSTN.
Note: The maximum number of digits is 31.
The NetVision Data Phone ships ready for use with default settings. End users
can only access and adjust basic phone usage options. The system
administrator can enable more advanced capability.
Setting the Phone Ring Styles
There are two types of incoming calls for the NetVision Data Phone, intercom
calls and telephone calls. Set a ringing style for each. In addition, set a
ringing style for the Auto-answer mode. Select a tone, the vibrator or the LED
to signal an incoming call. Available ring options include:
Style name Style Description (all styles flash the LED)
Tone 1 One-second beep
Tone 2 Two short beeps
Tone 3 A half-second beep
Tone 4 A two-second beep
Tone 5 One short beep
Tone 6 Five short beeps
LED-only Repeated LED flashes
Vibrator Repeated brief vibrations
