5.2 Removing the PC Card Driver in
Windows XP
If an existing version of the LA-5030 driver exists in the system, remove
it and install the latest version from the Symbol Web site
(http://www. symbol.com/services/downloads).
Note: If the LA-5030 adapter was installed in the computer and
setup.exe was launched (Web download installations) or a
CDROM was inserted, the user is required to remove the driver
from the system and begin the installation over.
To remove a driver from the system in Windows XP:
1. Click Start and select Control Panel.
2. Select the Switch to Classic View Windows XP option.
3. Select System and click on the Hardware tab.
4. Click the Device Manager button.
5. Double-click Network Adapters.
A list of the devices currently supported on the system by Windows
XP displays.
6. Rick-click on the LA-5030 Wireless LAN PC Card and select
Uninstall.
The Confirm Device Removal window warns the user the system will
uninstall the device.
7. Select OK.
8. Proceed to Installing the LA-5030 Driver in Windows XP on page 28
and reinstall the driver.
