Consult the system administrator for information on configuring the
access point and associated Symbol adapter for EAP security
support using Windows 2000 Zero Config.
4.3 Removing the PC Card Driver in
Windows 2000
If an existing version of the LA-5030 driver exists in the system, remove
it and install the latest version from the Symbol Web site
(http://www.symbol.com/services/downloads).
Note: If the LA-5030 adapter was installed in the computer and
setup.exe was launched (Web download installations) or a
CDROM was inserted, the user is required to remove the driver
from the system and begin the installation over.
To remove a LA-5030 driver from the system in Windows 2000:
1. Click Start and select Control Panel.
2. Select the Switch to Classic View Windows 2000 option.
3. Select System and click on the Hardware tab.
4. Click the Device Manager button.
5. Double-click Network Adapters.
6. A list of the devices currently supported on the system by Windows
2000 displays.
7. Rick-click on the LA-5030 Wireless LAN PC Card and select
Uninstall.
8. A Confirm Device Removal window warns the user the system will
uninstall the device.
9. Select OK.
