The Data Format fields show that the Reader supports one fixed data format: 8 data digit/ 1
stop bit/ No parity check.
After typing the required information, click Set Serial Port Properties.
4. To configure the Reader’s TCP/IP communication settings, enter the following information:
Click and check (or uncheck) the Obtain IP Address via DHCP checkbox to enable (or disable)
the system from automatically obtaining an IP Address via the Dynamic Host Configuration
Protocol (DHCP.)
Set the IP Address (in dotted notation) to designate the desired fixed IP address of the Reader.
Set the Subnet Mask (in dotted notation) to designate the subnet mask for the network on which
the Reader is going to reside.
Set the Default Gateway (in dotted notation) to designate the gateway for the network on which
the Reader is going to reside.
Set the TCP Port to designate the number (the default is 3000) of the Reader by which the host
program will be able to talk.
After typing the required information, click Set TCP/IP Properties.
NOTE: You must reboot the system whose communication settings have been
changed before they will take effect.
