In the NetworkSecurityMap window, click a device
icon.
You can use the scroll arrows to view the devices
that are listed in the network map.
The device details section that is located below the
network map displays the following details:
Shows the name of the deviceDevice Name
For a computer, the Network
Security Map displays the
NetBIOS name by default.
However, the Network Security
Map displays the name of the
device as NEW if it meets the
following conditions:
1 The device does not have a
NetBIOS name
1 The device has a firewall that
is enabled
You can change the device name
in the Edit Device Details
window.
Shows the name of the network
adapter manufacturer of the
device
Adapter Manufacturer
The adapter manufacturer's
name is based on the physical
address (also known as Media
Control Access address or MAC
address) of the device.
