10. Operation
If you have put the outdoor and the indoor unit next to each other for testing (and if you have wired
the devices accordingly), observe that there may be loud feedback loop sounds via the microphone and
speaker in this case.
This is normal.
Just keep a distance of several metres between the outdoor unit and the indoor unit to avoid such feedback
loops when testing. Alternatively, you can temporarily tape several pieces of isolation tape over the
microphone and speaker openings.
After you have installed and connected the outdoor and indoor units as described in chapters 7, 8 and 9, plug the
mains adapter of the indoor unit into a proper mains socket. When the outdoor unit is connected to a separate voltage/
power supply (see chapter 9. a), switch it on as well.
a) Settings Menu
In the settings menu, you can set the brightness, contrast, colour saturation and reset the settings.
Proceed as follows:
• Push the button " " (14) to activate the screen.
• Press the button " " (8) to call the menu.
• Push the button " "(8)brieyseveraltimestoselectthedesiredmenuitem.
- "BRIGHTNESS" Brightness
- "CONTRAST" Contrast
- "SATURATION" Coloursaturation
- "AUDIO" Audio volume
- "RESET" Resetsthesettingstodefaultvalues
- "EXIT" Leaves the menu
• The button " " (10) or " " (9) can be used to change the setting values for brightness, contrast, saturation and
ring tone volume.
• Selecting"RESET"andpushingthebutton" " (10) or " " (9) will reset all settings to the defaults.
• To leave the menu, select "EXIT" and then push the button " " (10) or " " (9).
