c) Operation location
• Only use the product in temperate climates, not in tropical climates.
• Do not use the product in the direct vicinity of a bathtub, a shower or a swimming
pool.
• Do not use the product while sleeping or place it near a person who is sleeping.
• Do not operate the device in environments where there are high levels of dust,
ammable gases, vapours or solvents. There is a danger of re and explosion!
• Do not use the product in vehicles or similar moving objects and spaces.
• Risk of re! Keep sufcient distance to ammable or easily ammable materials
and objects (such as curtains, doors, furniture, etc.) during use to ensure sufcient
air circulation.
• This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot
surfaces. use the handle(s) when moving this heater.
• The heater should not be used in a room, of which the oor area is less than 5 m
2
.
• Do not place the product on or near surfaces that may be damaged by heat (i.e.,
delicate rugs, wall paper, oor coverings not made of heat-resistant material, etc.).
• Do not place the heater on carpets having a very deep pile.
• Always ensure that the heater is placed on a rm level surface.
d) Electrical connection
• Only use a proper mains socket (230 V/AC, 50 Hz) of the public supply network
as the voltage source.
• Check that your local A/C mains voltage matches the specications on the
nameplate.
• Do not use any extension cable, power strip or electronic ballast devices.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into
a warm one. The condensation generated could destroy the product.
• Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power
supply and putting it to use. This may take several hours.
e) Mains cable
• Do not modify the mains cable.
• Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you do not use the device for an
extended period of time.
• The mains socket must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
• Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged. A damaged mains cable can
cause a fatal electric shock.
• Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Fire hazard! Unwind the mains cable completely. A mains cable that is not
completely unwound can lead to overheating.
• Never unplug the mains plug by pulling on the cable; always use the grips on the
plug.
• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges
or put under mechanical stress.
• Do not run the mains cable under a carpet or cover the mains cable with rugs,
runners or other materials.
• Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or cold.
• Do not touch a damaged mains cable. First, power down the respective mains
socket (e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains
plug from the mains socket.
f) Operation
• Never leave the product unattended during use.
• For safety reasons, unplug the mains plug from the mains socket during a
thunderstorm.
• Before you move the product, disconnect it from the power supply and let it cool
down to room temperature.
• Never pour any liquids over electrical devices or place objects lled with liquid next
to the product. Should liquid or an object enter the interior of the device, power
down the respective socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker), and then disconnect
the mains plug from the mains socket. Discontinue use and take the product to a
specialist repair centre.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent
unauthorized use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
g) Storage
• Before you store the product, disconnect it from the power supply and let it cool
down to room temperature. Store it in a location free from dust.

Operation
When using the heater for the rst time, heated parts of the casing may cause a
distinct odour. It is not harmful to your health. Ventilate the room in which the product
is installed.
The heater may leave marks or scratches on delicate ooring.
a) Setup and connection
• Use the handle (3) to carry or transport the heater.
• Place the heater on a stable, level surface. It must be placed at least 1.0 m away from walls
or other objects to ensure sufcient air circulation. Flammable objects (e.g. curtains) must
be at least 1.5 m away.
• The heater is designed to be placed on horizontal surfaces such as oors. It is not suitable
for wall mounting. Ensure that the heater is level and secure, otherwise the safety switch (8)
may be triggered by accident.
• Insert the mains plug into a mains socket.
b) Heater settings
Risk of burns! Do not wear loose or ammable clothing that can come into contact
with the grid/grille (4). Especially when operating the foot switches (1) and (7).
There are two heating elements controlled by
foot switches.
Each switch controls a 400 W heating
element.
Activate both switches for 800 W heating
power.
• Press the left foot switch (1) to turn the top
element ON/OFF.
• Press the right foot switch (7) to turn the
bottom element ON/OFF.
the heating elements will glow to
indicate they are heating up.
c) Tip-over protection
• The tip-over safety switch (8) on the bottom of the fan heater automatically cuts off the
power supply if the heater tips over.
• When returning the heater to the upright position, do not to touch the grille (4). This gets
extremely hot during use!
