Installation and Connection
Pay attention to the information in chapter "Preparations for Installation"!
Remove the upper and lower square cover. To do this, unscrew the respective Allen
head screw using the Allen key enclosed. Then remove the cover plate.
Remove the mounting plate from the rear of the wall light. To do this, remove the
two Phillips screws top and bottom.
Mark the positions for installation on the wall, through the holes of the mounting
plate.
Push the mains cable through the appropriate cable bushing in the mounting plate
and attach the mounting plate to the wall using suitable screws (and wall plugs, if
necessary).
When drilling mounting holes or screwing into place, ensure that no existing
cables or pipes are damaged.
Connect the mains cable to the terminal strip in the wall light's housing (brown cable
= L, blue cable = N, green/yellow cable = PE/earth, earth symbol).
The protective earth wire must be connected!
If the wall lamp replaces an existing lamp and there is not a protective earth
wire available, the lamp must not be installed. First, draw a new mains cable.
In the case where no protective earth conductor is connected, faulty function-
ing of the mains voltage might charge the metal housing of the wall lamp.
There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
Make sure only the minimum required length of the cable is stripped; otherwise it
could cause a short-circuit.
Also check the other screwing connections at the terminal strip (for the connection
cables of the light) and fasten them, if necessary.
Place the wall lamp on the mounting plate. Make sure that the mains cable is not
pinched or trapped. The wall light can be mounted so that the LED light is directed
downwards or upwards.
Screw the two Allen screws in again, so the wall light is secured to the mounting
plate.
Fasten the upper and then the lower square cover plate using the Allen head screws
that you removed at the beginning.
Switch on the mains power supply and check that the wall light is working.
If the bulbs in the wall light do not light, switch off the mains voltage immedi-
ately (take out the fuse or switch off automatic cut-out, switch off correspond-
ing ground fault circuit interrupter).
Thereafter, check the connections of the wall lamp.
In case of doubt, contact a professional (e.g. an electrician)!
Maintenance and Care
The wall lamp does not require maintenance. The LED lamp has a long service life
and is irreplaceable.
Switch off the wall light or disconnect it from the mains before cleaning. After that,
allow suf cient time for the wall light to cool down.
The exterior of the wall lamp should only be wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Do
not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage the
housing (discolouring) or impair operation.
Do not press too hard on the housing or the glass lens, as scratches might appear.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Disposal
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statu-
tory regulations.
