Ladder Toss is played in rounds, each round consists of
both teams tossing 3 bolas. The first player tosses their
bola, then the player from the opposing team (standing by
the same ladder) tosses their bola. This continues until all
bolas are tossed. Bolas must be tossed individually
underhanded and can be bounced off the ground.
The team that scores exactly 21 points at the end of a
round wins. If any team goes over 21 points at the end of
a round, their points do not count for said round and play
continues.

Each player is assigned a different one
of the rungs from the ladder. That
rung’s number is their number for the rest of the game.
Write down who is which number, and the number 3 next
to it (for their number of lives). Each player takes turns
tossing 1 bola. Players will target their own number until
they have landed on their own number 3 times. Then they
become an ELIMINATOR. Once any player becomes an
ELIMINATOR they will then target the other players
rungs. Each time an ELIMINATOR scores on another
player’s rung, the other player loses 1 life. When a player
reaches 0 lives they are out. There can be any number of
ELIMINATORS at any given time, and the last player
remaining with at least 1 life wins.

The first player
tosses 3 bolas
and tries to get the highest score they can. The next person
has to either meet or beat that score. If they do, play contin-
ues to the next person after that who has to beat the 2nd
player. If the 2nd player fails to beat the score of the person
before them, they gets an “X” and the high score to beat
resets for the third player. If any player gets 3 X’s, they’re out.
Last man standing wins.

Similar to the classic basketball
shooting game H-O-R-S-E, 1
player chooses where they want to toss from and the rung
they are aiming for. If their bola lands on that rung, the other
players must toss from the exact same location. Any of the
other players that do not land their shot get a letter. (The first
time they get a L, the second time, an A, etc. until they spell
L-A-D-D-E-R and then they are out). Any players that do land
their shot do NOT get a letter. If the original shooter does
not land on the rung, the next player will choose a location
and shoot from there. Play continues until all players except
1 spell L-A-D-D-E-R. The remaining player is the winner.

Each player/team tosses all 6 bolas. Whichever
team has the amount of points closest to 21 wins!
10 WAYS TO PLAY
Points are awarded for bolas that wrap completely
around a ladder rung. 3 points for the top rung, 2 points
for the middle rung, and 1 point for the bottom rung. One
team scores at the end of each round. The score is taken
as the difference of each team’s points for that round. For
example: Player/Team 1 had one bola around the middle
rung (2 points) and one bola around the top rung (3
points) for a total of 5 points; Player/Team 2 had two
bolas round the bottom rung (1 point each = 2 points).
The score for this round is 5 – 2 = 3 points for Team A. The
team that scored the last round begins tossing the next
round.
