2.6. LED INFINITY WHEELS • Please inspect your hoverboard upon unpacking for any signs of physical damage or defects. If the lights do not work or if any light’s color cover is missing, contact customer support. • Ride as directed by the user manual and do not perform stunts or dangerous maneuvers. Light cover damage due to collisions, tampering, or misuse is not covered under any warranty.
III. HOW TO RIDE 3.1. RIDING INSTRUCTIONS Before riding, equip yourself with suitable protective gear. Make sure the hoverboard is placed on a level surface and fully charged. See SECTION 5.1 for charging instructions. Step 1. Press the power button to turn on the hoverboard. Step 2. The hoverboard will enter self-balancing mode. Step on one pedal then quickly step on the second pedal with your other foot. Step 3. Stand upright but relaxed and lean slightly in the direction you want to go.
• If the system indicator shows an error while the hoverboard is on a slope, move it to level ground then turn it off and back on again. • Do not put anything else on the pedals other than your feet, as this could cause the hoverboard to lock or move on its own. • Do not tilt forward or backwards beyond 10°, as the unit may malfunction and/or you may fall off. • Avoid uneven or rocky surfaces as well as steep slopes with inclines over 12° as the T580 Warrior may not function properly.
3.2. HOW IT WORKS The T580 Warrior uses an internal gyroscope with acceleration sensors to move based on your center of gravity. Do not bend at the waist. The movement will be mostly in your ankles. MOVE FORWARD Shift your weight forward to move straight ahead. STOP Return to an upright, standing position. TURNING LEFT Shift your weight slightly on the LEFT PEDAL to turn left. TURNING RIGHT Shift your weight slightly on the RIGHT PEDAL to turn right.
• Avoid sudden turns while riding fast, as this may result in an accident. • Do not step on the center pivot point of the SWAGBOARD T580 Warrior. 3.3. CALIBRATION If your SWAGBOARD T580 Warrior seems to pull to the left or right during your ride, you may need to recalibrate its sensors. The calibration process requires a flat stable surface and a level. Levels may be purchased separately at most hardware stores or level apps may be downloaded with most smartphones. Step 1. Turn off the hoverboard. Step 2.
IV. SAFE RIDING TECHNIQUES Although the T580 Warrior is designed with gyroscopic balancing technology, it’s still possible to fall off. Consider the following techniques and info to help ensure you have a safe, fun riding experience. CAUTION • Appropriate clothing and safety gear are highly recommended. During riding, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist braces, and an ASTM F1492 approved helmet should be worn by all riders of all ages at all times.
• Do not attempt to carry passengers. The T580 Warrior can only support the weight of one person at a time. When the maximum weight limit is exceeded, the hoverboard may sound an alarm and/or the system indicator may show an error. Do not exceed the hoverboard’s weight limit. • Remember, only ride where permitted. You MUST comply with state and local laws and give way to pedestrians. V.
5.1. CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS Charge the hoverboard before using it. Step 1. Make sure the hoverboard is powered off and connect the charger’s cables and adapter if needed. Step 2. Plug the charger into a wall outlet (100V-240V; 50-60Hz) then plug the other end into the hoverboard. Step 3. Allow 4 hours for charging. The battery indicator may flash during charging and stop once charging is complete. Disconnect all cables once charging is finished.
5.2. BATTERY & SYSTEM INDICATORS The indicators convey information about the battery level and the hoverboard’s system. If the battery indicator changes color to indicate battery life is low, stop riding and recharge your hoverboard. If the system indicator flashes or otherwise indicates an error, stop riding immediately. Turn the hoverboard off, move it to level ground, and turn it back on again. If needed, re-calibrate the hoverboard by following the instructions in SECTION 3.3.
Factor Comment Topography Rough terrains or slopes can decrease your range due to motor use. Ride on smooth or even roads for maximum performance. Weight The weight of the operator can influence your riding distance. Temperature Avoid environments that are too hot or too cold, as the motor will decrease power as a safety feature. 5.4. SAFETY WARNINGS Misusing the battery may cause the battery to get hot, rupture, or ignite and cause serious injury. • Do not pierce, strike, or step on the battery.
• If the device is to be used by children, the caregiver should explain the contents of the user manual to the children. The caregiver should provide adequate supervision to ensure that the device is being used as explained in the user manual. • Immediately discontinue use of the battery if, while using, charging, or storing the battery, the battery emits an unusual smell, feels hot, changes color, changes shape, or appears abnormal in any other way.
6.1 CLEANING The T580 Warrior may need cleaning after riding. See the following tips below. • Make sure the hoverboard is completely powered off before cleaning. • Check around the wheels and clear away any blockage if needed. • Use dry, non-abrasive cloth to gently remove debris or dust from the hoverboard’s shell. • If needed, dampen cloth with water or a mild cleaner and wipe off the hoverboard. • Never use alcohol or ammonia-based cleaning solutions.
