5 Installation
For the location of the repeater, select a place which is not shielded by conducting objects and position the antenna in such a way that
it is not subject to interference from the rest of the circuit. The helical antenna should not be positioned over or too close to the
electronics.
Before installing the repeater, please test and verify the function at the desired location. The location may have to be changed for
optimum operation.
Supply voltage: Connect the supply voltage to the input 5,0...16,0V DC.
Take care of the technical data and of the supply polarity. Maximum supply voltage is 16V DC. Greater supply voltage
destroys the transmitter.
Function selection
The 6 pole DIP switch gives the user the possibility to configure the repeater. In rare cases it is necessary to change the frequency
because of interference from other devices. In this case set the DIP switch #1 to position “ON” in order to switch to the second
frequency (f2 ). Please note that the corresponding radio devices should have the same frequency (see the corresponding device
instructions). The following table provides an overview of the effects of the indivdual DIP switch configurations.
DIP switch nr. Description Initial position Position ON
1 Frequency selection f1 = 433,62 MHz f2 = 434,22 MHz
2 Learn mode Repeater operation mode
Learn-/Erase mode = Learn or erase a device or key
combination
3 Repeater mode All messages will be repeated
Messages only be repeated if device or key
combination has been learned before
4 Traffic Control Messages will always be repeated
Messages will not be repeated if the radio
communication is already succesful
5 LCC mode Continuous active operation mode
After 10min without any action the repeater switches
in clocked operation mode in order to reduce the
current consumption

Learn and erase tranmitters
When the DIP switch #3 is „ON“, messages of not learned devices or key combinations will not be repeated. In order to learn devices
or key combinations set the DIP switch # 2 to „ON“. The Learn mode can be left by setting the DIP switch #2 in its initial position.
Switching in learn mode or between different learn modes takes a few seconds.
DIP switch #3 and #4 determine different actions that can be done as soon as the repeater has entered into learn mode. Following
table provides an overview of the different configuration possibities and their signalization.
DIP switch nr.
Description Signalization
2 3 4
ON Every transmitter key will be learned The light of the LED T interrupts 1x every second.
ON ON Specific transmitter key combination will be learned. The light of the LED T interrupts 2x every second.
ON ON
All entries of the corresponding sending transmitter will be
erased
The light of the LED T flashes 1x every second.
ON ON ON All entries will be erased
LED T and LED R flashes a several times. Subsequently
both led's switch off.
For the first three learn or erase modes it is necessary that a corresponding transmitter signal has been received.
