8. Sensor installation
Alternative Installation Method
For bigger pipe diameters (>200 mm) the sensor can be installed with
only a 100 mm insertion depth as alternative method. This allows one
sensor to be used for all pipe sizes. Attention: This method requires a
setting on the local display or through the service software.
Insertion depth= x+ y+100
x is the wall thickness of pipe
y = length of the ball valve
Calculation example:
A 12”-diameter pipe with the wall
thickness of 9 mm and a 87 mm-
length ball valve.
x= 9 mm ; y=87 mm
Insertion depth
= 9 mm+ 87 mm+100 mm=196 mm
