2 Click on the Cashew icon at the end of the new control bar to access the
conguration options and adapt the control bar as described in Procedure 2.5,
“Conguring control bars” (page 18).
3 To delete a control bar, right-click on an empty space in the control bar for
deletion and select Control bar Settings > Remove "control bar”. At least one
control bar must remain on the desktop in openSUSE.
Procedure 2.5: Conguring control bars
Applications and mini programs can be added in the main control bar or other
control bars. Control bar elements and other control bars can be shifted to dierent
positions or removed if necessary.
1 In order to access options for the current control bar, right-click on an
empty space in the control bar and select Settings for control bar > Control
bar settings. It is quicker if you click on the cashew icon at the very right
of the bar. In any case, the view of the control bar changes and the con-
guration options are displayed.
If the menu entry and the icon is not available, your desktop elements are
probably xed. To unlock, rst right-click on the control bar and select
Unlock mini programs.
2 In order to move objects in the control bar to another position in the control
bar, point to the desired control bar object with the mouse cursor (e.g.
program icon, desktop toggle, task manager, system section for control
bar). The mouse pointer takes the form of a cross. Click on the object and
drag the element to the desired position in the control bar. Click again to
x it in this position.
3 To increase the distance between two mini programs, use Add spacers. A
spacer mini program is displayed on the right hand side. Drag it to the
preferred location and leave it there.
4 To change the width of the control bar, click on the small arrow icon on
the left and right hand side of the settings control bar. With the arrow on
the left hand side you can determine the position of the control bar and
with the arrows on the right hand side you can determine the maximized
and minimized size.
5 To change the height of the control bar, left-click on the Height button and
drag to the desired nal position.
6 With the help of the Screen edge button, position the control bar on one
side of the screen. Drag the control bar into the desired position using
drag and drop.
