3 In the screen that opens,look for a subentrycalledBOOT SEQUENCEor BOOT
ORDER. The boot sequencelooks somethinglike

. In the former
case,the machinefirst searchesthe hard disk (C) then the floppy drive (A) to
find a bootable medium. Change the settingsby pressing[PgUp] or[ PgDown]
until the sequence is

4 Leavethe BIOS setupscreenby pressing[
Esc
]. To save the changes,select
SAVE & EXIT SETUP, or press[
F10
]. To confirm that your settingsshould be
saved, press[
Y
].
Procedure A.2 Changing the Boot Sequence in a SCSI BIOS (Adaptec Host Adapter)
1 Open the setupby pressing[
Ctrl
] +[
A
].
2 SelectDiskUtilities. The connectedhardware componentsare now displayed.
Make noteof the SCSI ID of your DVD drive.
3 Exit themenuwith[
Esc
].
4 Open ConfigureAdapterSettings. UnderAdditionalOptions, selectBoot Device
Options and press[
Enter
].
5 EntertheID of theDVD driveand press[
Enter
]again.
6 Press[
Esc
] twiceto return to the startscreen of the SCSI BIOS.
7 Exit thisscreenand confirm withYesto bootthecomputer.
