7.3 Creating Graphicswith Draw
Use LibreOfficeDraw to create graphicsand diagrams.You can save your drawings
in today’smost commonformats and import them into any applicationthat lets you
import graphics,including the other LibreOffice modules.You can also create Flash
versions of your drawings.

Click[ Alt] +[ F2] and enter
oodraw
to open LibreOfficeDraw.
2 Usethe toolbarat the bottomof the windowto createa graphic.
3 Save thegraphic.
To embed an existing Drawgraphicinto an LibreOfficedocument, select Insert>
Object > OLE Object. SelectCreatefrom file and click Searchto navigate to the Draw
file to insert.If you inserta file as OLE object,you can easily edit the object later by
double-clicking it.
Procedure 22 Opening Draw From Other LibreOfficeModules
One particularlyusefulfeature of Drawis the ability to open it from otherLibreOffice
modules so you can create a drawing that is automaticallyimportedinto your
document.
1 From an LibreOfficemodule(for example,from Writer),clickInsert> Object
> OLE Object > LibreOffice3.x Drawing> OK. This opens Draw.
2 Createyour drawing.
3 Click in your document,outsidethe Drawframe.
The drawing is automaticallyinsertedinto your document.
7.4 Creating MathematicalFormulas with Math
It is usually difficult to include complex mathematicalformulas in your documents.
The LibreOfficeMath equation editor lets you createformulas using operators,
functions,and formatting assistants.You can then save those formulas as objects
that can be importedinto other documents. Math functions can be insertedinto
other LibreOffice documentslike any other graphic object.
Using Math, you can enteryour equationin three different ways:
Type markup in theequationeditor,
Right-clickon the equationeditorand selectthe symbolfrom the context menu,
