6.1 Whatis Newin Calc
Belowis a list of newfeatures for Calc:

Calc spreadsheetsnow support 1 million rows instead of former 65,536 rows.
Charts Support DrawingObjects
The Chart functionalityis enhancedand now supportsdrawing objects. The
drawing toolbar allows to insertsimple shapessuch as lines, rectanglesand text
objects, and even complex shapessuch as cubes, symbols, block arrows,
flowcharts and stars.
IntelligentSelection of Filter Area
The selectionis now shrunkto the actually used data columnswhen enablinga
filter (AutoFilter, StandardFilter, AdvancedFilter). Userscan selectan entire row
by clickingon a row headerand expect a filter to operateon the data below the
selectedrow. If one single row is selectedthe selectionis shrunk to the actually
used data columnsand then expanded over all contiguousdata rows below. Se-
lecting only a portion of a row behavessimilar by expanding the selectedcolumns
over the data rows. If more than one entire row is selected,the area is shrunkto
the actual useddata columns.
Colored Sheet Tabs
Each sheet in a Calc documentcan be assigneda color for its tab: Right-clickon
a sheettab and chooseTab color and choosethe color of your choice.
6.2 Creating a NewDocument
Start LibreOffice and selectFile > New > Spreadsheetto create a new spreadsheet.
Access the individual sheetsby clicking the respectivetabs at the bottom of the
window.
