Model L1-HA-xx L1 LumaMax™ LED Flashlight Operator’s Manual One-Watt Digitally Controlled LED Flashlight with Dual Output Beam Revision B 8-1-2005
L1 LumaMax LED Introduction The L1 LumaMaxTM is fitted with a one-watt LED (Light Emitting Diode) powered by a single 3-volt battery. The LumaMax features digital current regulation circuitry and a digitally controlled twostage switching mechanism. The current regulation circuitry matches the LED’s current requirements to the batteries’ output to achieve a more consistent (flatter) level of light output for the useable life of the batteries.
Operation Lock-out Tailcap (U.S. Patent Number 6,222,138) The lock-out position is suggested to avoid accidental light activation during storage or transport. From the momentary-on position, rotate the tailcap approximately one and one half turns counter-clockwise to lock the light in the OFF position. Battery Replacement Unscrew the tailcap and insert new battery with positive end towards LED assembly. Replace tailcap and rotate clockwise to the momentary-on position.

L1 LumaMax LED Output & Runtime Accurately specifying light output (lumens) and runtime is more complicated for LED flashlights than for tungsten lamp flashlights due to slight variation in LEDs and LED output characteristics. L1 light output if continuously run: High Output: Maximum 15 lumens for 1.5 hours, then 1 hour of gradually diminishing light, then 2+ hours of minimal light. Low Output: Maximum .65 lumens for 25 hours, then 200 hours of gradually diminishing light.
