CHARGING INSTRUCTION
A note on battery charge level:
y
The included battery does not come
fully charged from the manufacturer.
Charge the battery fully before using the
radio for the first time, or after removing
the radio from long term storage (more
than 2 months.) Failure to fully charge
battery before usage can affect overall
battery lifespan and performance.
y
Turn off radio before charging battery.
Using radio while battery is charging could
result in damage to radio, and degrade
overall battery performance and lifespan.
y
When time to charge battery begins to
increase in duration, or battery no longer
holds charge for sufficient duration of use,
replace battery.
y
Approximate run time of included battery
pack is ~13 hours. This is based on a
standard 5/5/90 duty
cycle (5% transmit,
5% receive, 90% idle)
CAUTION
Do not leave fully charged battery on charger
for extended duration. This can degrade battery
lifespan or cause damage.
Remove fully charged battery from charging
cup.
Do not intentionally short battery terminals or
dispose battery in fire.
CHARGE STEPS
Plug the charger into a 120V power outlet.
The indicator LED will turn green when ready
to charge.
Insert individual battery or radio with installed
battery into charger (as illustrated.)
The indicator LED will flash red during the
charging process.
The battery is fully charged when the
