Installation Instructions
SSA11 for 2500/3500 Dodge Sprinter 2003 ~ 2007
2500/3500 Mercedes Sprinter 2008 ~ present (special instructions at the bottom of this page)
Step 1: Positioning the vehicle.
Vehicle must be on level solid surface. Ensure emergency brake is ON and Ignition is OFF. Place
blocks in front and rear of the front tires to prevent the vehicle from moving.
Step 2: Jacking up vehicle.
Jack up the vehicle and support the frame with jack stands so that the axle is hanging with tires
slightly off the ground. You may remove the wheel for easier installation access but it is not
required.
Step 3: Install the mounting kit.
Place the mounting bracket (from separate white box) on top of factory springs directly above the
axle. Using the U-bolts & hardware provided in the MTKT, attach the mounting bracket to the
factory springs.
Step 4: Mount the SuperSpring on top of the mounting bracket.
Both blades need to be installed with the shackle nuts facing outward toward the wheel.
Slip the SuperSpring through the wheel well or slide it in
from behind the vehicle, positioning it above the MTKT.
Position the SuperSprings so there is sufficient clearance
from any frame contact both horizontally and
vertically.
Step 5: Attach front shackle. (Fig. 1)
Position the front beveled shackle so as to avoid contact with the frame.
(Fig. 1 image indicates shackle position for all Sprinters)
Where additional lift or more vertical clearance is required, use the shackle upper bolt hole
position. In other cases use the lower bolt hole position. Ensure all A/C lines and brake cables that
might be damaged by SuperSpring blades are clear. Attach bolt on front shackle using both
polypropylene (black) rollers and steel rollers. Don’t over-tighten nuts.
Step 6: Attach rear shackle:
Use a C-Clamp (or installation tool) and pull down the rear of the SuperSpring and attach the
square shackle using the upper bolt hole position.
Attach bolt on rear shackle using both polypropylene (black) rollers and steel rollers and nut and
tighten. Don’t over-tighten nuts.
NEVER TIGHTEN TOP BOLTS ON ANY OF THE SHACKLES.
