The Chassis Intrusion header is
located at JL1. See the board lay-
out in Chapter 1 for the location of
JL1 and the table on the right for
pin definitions.

Pin Definitions (JL1)
Fan Headers
There are four fan headers (Fan1,
Fan2, Fan3 and Fan4) on the
P8SAA+. Fan1, Fan2 and Fan3
are 4-pin fan headers; however,
these fan headers also support
traditional 3-pin fans. (Pins #1, #2,
#3 are back-compatible with tradi-
tional 3-pin fan headers.) The fan
speeds are controlled by Thermal
Management via BIOS (within the
"Hardware Monitor Section" in the
BIOS "Advanced Setting".) The de-
fault setting for Fan Speed Con-
trol is "Disabled"; the fan is set to
run at the full speed (12V). Fan4
is a 3-pin fan header. See the
tables on the right for pin defini-
tions.
