1. Certicate: Click on this function key to activate its submenu and congure the
following Certicate settings as listed below.
2. Certicate Signing Request (CSR): This window allows you to dene the
Certicate Signing Request (CSR) form. The IPMI uses the Secure Socket Layer
(SSL) protocol for encrypted network trafc between itself and the remote host
servers. When a connection is made, the IPMI has to expose its identity to a remote
host by using a cryptographic certicate.
Note: SHA1 and RSA 2048 bit SSL supported.
To create a certicate that is unique to a particular IPMI card or SIMLP card, a cer-
tication authority (CA) needs to ll out the CSR form indicated in the CSR window
above and click "Create" to generate it.
