6-2 Dual Port and Expanders
Single Ports
SAS-836EL1 backplanes have a single-port expander that accesses all sixteen
drives and supports cascading.
Dual Ports
SAS-836EL2 backplanes have dual-port expanders that access all sixteen drives.
These dual-port expanders supports cascading, failover and recovery.
Note: Both 836EL series backplanes support SAS drives only.
