Universal Serial Bus (USB)
Four Universal Serial Bus ports
(USB1/2/3/4) are located on the I/O
backpanel. Additionally, one Type
A USB port (USB10) and ve USB
headers (USB5/6, 7/8, 9) are pro-
vided on the motherboard to provide
front chassis access (cables are not
included). See the tables on the right
for pin de nitions.

Trusted Platform Module Header
This header is used to connect a
Trusted Platform Module (TPM),
available separately from a third-party
vendor. A TPM is a security device
that allows for encryption and authen-
tication of hard drives, disallowing
access if the TPM associated with it
is not installed in the system. See the
table on the right for pin de nitions.
