5.0 ModuleMounting
The Maxeon Limited Warranty for PV Modules is contingent upon
modules being mounted in accordance with the requirements
describedinthissection.
5.1SiteConsiderations
Maxeon modules should be mounted in locations that meet the
followingrequirements:
Operating Temperature: All Maxeon modules must be mounted in
environmentswithinthefollowingmaximumandminimumoperating
temperatures:
MaximumOperatingTemperature +85°C(+185°F)
MinimumOperatingTemperature ‐40°C(‐40°F)
Care should be taken to provide adequate ventilation behind the
modules,especiallyinhotenvironments.
Shading:Modulesshouldbeinstalledsothatpermanentshadingof
cellsisavoidedandpartialshadingthatmayoccurduringcertain
timesofthedayoryearisminimized.Permanentshadingisdefined

Shading may induce in certain cases strong energy production
reduction,evenincaseofsmallshadingandshouldbeavoidasmuch
aspossible,speciallyatmid‐daywhentheproductionismaximum.
DesignStrength:Maxeonmodulesaredesignedtomeetapositiveor
negative (upward and downward, e.g. wind) withstanding test
pressureloadandanegative(ordownward,e.g.staticloadorsnow

mountedintheconfigurationsspecifiedinSection5.2andTables1.2
or1.3below.
