Dishwasher detergent is corrosive!
Take care to keep it out of reach of children.
The amount of deter gent needed can vary due to differences in water hardness. To determine th e water hardness in
your area, contact your local water utility or area water softening company. The harder the water, the more detergent
you may need. Remember, you should adjust the amount of detergent you use by small amounts until you find the
correct amo unt.
To remove hard water spots, try the following:
Run dishes through a normal wash program.
Remove all metal dishware , such as cutlery, pans, etc.,
from the di shwasher.
Do not add detergent.
Pour two c ups of vinegar into a bowl and set the bowl face
up on the lower rac k of the dishwasher.
Run the dishes through a normal wash program.
If this doe sn't work, try the same process with 1 / 4 cup of
citric acid crystals instead of vinegar.
Use only detergent specifically ma de for use in dishwashers.
Keep your detergent fresh and dry. Don't put powder detergent
into the dispenser until You're ready to wash dishes.
The rinse aid is released during the final rinse to prevent
water from forming droplets on your dishes that can leave
spots and streaks. It also improves drying by allowing
water to "shee t" off the dishes.
Your dishwashers are designed to use liquid rinse aids.
The rinse aid dispenser is l ocated inside the door next to
the detergent dispense r. To fill the dispenser, op en th e
cap and pour the rinse aid into the dispenser until the level
indicator turns completely black. The dispenser holds
about 100 ml of liquid rinse aid.
Be ca reful not to overfill the dispenser, because this could
cause over sudsing. Wipe away any spills with a damp cloth.
Don't forget to replace the cap before you close the
dishwasher door.
If you have soft water, you may not need rinse aid for it may
cause a white film to de velop on your dishes.
TO PREVENT FORMATION OF DEPOSITS, DO NOT ADD TOO MUCH DETERGENT. THIS DISHWASHER HAS
SPECIALLY-DESIGNED WATER SOFTENERS.
The dispenser must be refilled before the start of each wash cycle Refer to instructions under the Wash Cycle Table
on page 4. This unit uses less detergent and rinse aid than most conventional dishwashers. In gene ral, only one
tablespoon or detergent is needed for a nomral wash load. Add more detergent as needed for heavily so iled loads.
Always add detergent just before starting the dishwasher, othervise it could get da mp and not dissolve properly.
To open the dispenser, turn the cap to the "open" (left)
arrow and lift it out.
Po ur the rinse aid into the d ispenser, being careful
not to overfill.
To replace, align cap with open arrow and turn
clockwise to close

A measured amount of rinse aid is released during the final ri nse. As with detergent, the amount
of rinse aid needed for your dishes depends on the hardness of the water in your area. Too much
rinse aid can result in lather of foaming and cause cloudiness or steaks on your dishes. If the
water in yo ur area is very soft, you may not need rinse aid . If y ou do,you can dilute the rinse aid
with an equal amount of water.
Th e rinse aid dispe nser has four settings. Always sta rt with the dispenser set on " 2 ". If spots and
poor drying are problems, increase the amount of rinse aid di spensed by removing the dispenser
lid and rotating the dial to "3". If the dishes still are not drying properly or are spotted, adjust the
dial to"4".. Refill wh en t he Rinse Aid Warning Light illuminates.
