ABOUT THE BATTERY
The battery, like all rechargeable batteries, has a limited life span, and become less ecient with repeated
charge/discharge cycles. As the capacity of the battery reduces, the hours of operation will lessen, and the
battery will need to be replaced.
IMPORTANT: Only use compatible rechargeable batteries; alternative batteries may be incompatible, which
may damage the unit and will void the warranty.
OPERATION
Press the power button to turn the solar panel 'ON'.
Place the unit in a sunny location.
First Time Use: The solar panel will require at
least 8 hours of full, direct sunlight to fully charge
the battery. Make sure the unit is turned 'ON' while
charging.
As long as the battery has a sucient charge, the
lights will automatically illuminate when it gets dark.
ACCESSING & CHANGING THE BATTERY
1. Press the power button to turn the solar panel 'OFF'.
2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to carefully remove the screws from the battery housing on the solar panel.
3. Gently remove the old battery.
4. Paying attention to the positive and negative terminals, gently insert a compatible new rechargeable battery.
5. Carefully reassemble the battery housing. Screws must be tight to prevent water from getting into the
battery housing.
6. Fully charge the battery by place the unit in a location that will receive at least 8 hours of full, direct sunlight.
APPLY STICKERS
Wipe the address plaque surface with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure it is clean.
TIP: Before peeling the numbers o the sticker sheet, we recommend cutting the numbers out of the sticker
sheet and placing them on the address plaque. This will help ensure proper alignment and spacing of the
numbers.
Remove the number stickers from the paper backing and apply them to the plaque. Firmly rub the stickers with
your ngers to ensure the adhesive has bonded with the address plaque.
INSTALLATION (optional)
CAUTION: Do not push on the bowl or the birds when installing unit with ground stakes as doing
Clear any debris that may prohibit the stakes from being fully pressed into the ground, such as mulch, roots,
stones or pavement.
Install the stakes into the bottom of the unit. Holding the unit from the sides, gently but rmly push downward
until the stakes are fully inserted into the soil.
