HDMI (digital) Video provides the best video display.
CHAPTER 2 Component Video Connections Component Video offers very high quality video and should be used for systems that do not have HDMI capabilities. Use high quality Component Video cables to connect directly to a TV, or use an A/V Receiver's Component Video switching capabilities. For Multi-Room systems, connect the TGM-100's Component Video outputs to a Multi-Room Component Video Switcher or Multi-Room Controller that has on-board Component Video switching capabilities.
CHAPTER 2 S- Video Connections S- Video should be used for systems that do not have HDMI or Component capabilities. Use high quality S-Video cables to connect directly to a TV, or use an A/V Receiver's S-Video switching capabilities. Because S-Video has a relatively short distance restriction, it is not recommended to use this format for Multi-Room systems; instead use Component or Composite Video.
CHAPTER 2 Composite Video Connections Composite Video offers the lowest quality video of the options available on the TGM-100, however, Composite Video also offers the longest range of any of the options available and so is a good choice for whole-house video distribution. Use high quality Composite Video cables to connect directly to a TV, an A/V Receiver, a Composite Video Switcher or a Multi-Room Controller.
