Oxygen Sensor Replacement (508419) Models with O2 Sensor
Tools and equipment required:
#1 Phillips screwdriver
Small diagonal wire cutters
Needle nose pliers
Cable Ties 4”x 3/32”
ESD Mat
STOP! Ensure to follow Electrostatic Discharge procedures to avoid damage to electronic components
Disassembly
1. Follow steps 1 thru 11 of the “Disassembly” section of the “Sieve Bed Replacement” in this manual.
2. Lay the POC on its front cover.
3. Using diagonal cutters, carefully cut and discard the Cable Tie securing the O2 Sensor PC Board to the
4 pin Battery Connector wires.
4. Using diagonal cutters, carefully cut and discard the Cable Tie that holds the tubing bundle together located
to the right of the welded filter.
5. Carefully remove the large white 4 pin Battery Connector from the PC Board.
6. Carefully remove the small 4 pin Oxygen Sensor Connector from the Oxygen Sensor PC Board.
7. Carefully remove both the top and bottom tubing from the Oxygen Sensor
Reassembly
1. Connect the tubing, that is connected to the patient outlet port, to the top barb fitting of the replacement Oxygen
PC Board.
2. Connect the tubing, that is connected to the Bolus Valve, to the bottom barb fitting of the replacement Oxygen PC
Board.
3. Install Cable Ties around each tubing connected to the Oxygen Sensor PC Board, and trim.
4. Connect the small 4 pin Oxygen Sensor Cable to the Oxygen Sensor PC Board.
5. Connect the large 4 pin Battery connector to the PC Board.
6. Install a Cable Tie through the right side mounting hole of the Oxygen Sensor PC Board and around the Battery
Connector wires closest to the Battery Plug. Snug and trim Cable Tie.
7. Install a Cable Tie around the bundle of tubing to the right side of the welded filter. Snug and trim Cable Tie.
NOTE: Do NOT over tighten Cable Tie. Will crimp tubing if too tight.
8. Be sure the wires from the Pump are pushed down and into their original position.
9. Stand the POC up.
10. Follow steps 2 thru 12 of the “Reassembly” section of the “Sieve Bed Replacement” in this manual.
