Lesson#2isintendedtolastforuptoaweekandhelpsyourdoglearntomoveawayfromtheBoundaryZone
ontheirownafterreceivingacorrection.Toachievethebestresults,youshouldagaintrainfor10to15minutesa
sessionthreetimesaday.TheobjectiveistointroduceyourdogtotheStaticCorrectionandteachthemwherethe
correctionoccurs.ThiswillalsoteachyourdogthatthereisaconsequenceformovingintotheBoundaryZone.
Thisstepwillalsoidentifyyourdog’slevelofrecognitiontothecorrection.Thishelpsyoutoselectthe
appropriatecorrectionlevelonthecollarthatwillbeusedfortherestofyourlessons.
Againforthislesson,yourdogshouldbewearinganon-metalliccollar(withouttags)thattheycannotslipout
of.Youwillattachthatcollartoaleash.Youwillalsoneedseveralsmall-sizedtreats.
1.  Turn on the Base Transmitter. 
2.  Turn on the Receiver Collar and set the correction to level 1.
3. PlacetheReceiverCollaronyourdog’sneckbelowthenon-metalliccollar.Makesurethenon-metalliccollar
isnottouchingtheprobesontheReceiverCollar.
4. WalkyourdogontheleashintheSafeZone.
5.  Praise and reward your dog with several treats. 
6.  Allow your dog to walk toward the Boundary Flags. 
7. WhenyourdoggetsclosetotheBoundaryZonetheReceiverCollarwillemitaWarningTone.
8. AllowyourdogtocontinuetotheBoundaryFlags.AssoonasyourdogmovesintotheBoundaryZonea
StaticCorrectionwillfollowaftertheWarningTone.
 a.Ifyoudonotseeareactionfromyourdog,changethesettingontheReceiverCollartolevel2andrepeat.
 b.Ifyoustilldonotseeareactionfromyourdog,changethesettingontheReceiverCollartolevel3andrepeat.
NOTE:Onceyouhavedeterminedtheappropriatecorrectionlevelforyourdog,youcanleaveyourReceiver
Collarsetatthislevelfortherestofthetraining.Ifyouhavemultipledogs,youwillneedtopurchaseadditional
collarsforeachdogandbesuretheyareadjustedbasedoneachdog’sreactiontothecorrection.
9. ImmediatelyafteryourdogreceivestheStaticCorrection,moveawayfromtheBoundaryFlagsandbackinto
theSafeZone.
10.Whenyouareabout10feetawayfromtheBoundaryFlagsstoptopraiseandrewardyourdogwithatreat.
11.RepeatthisprocessseveraltimesinmultipleareasofyouryarduntilyourdogisretreatingfromtheBoundary
Flagsontheirown.Pleasenote:neverpullorencourageyourdogintotheBoundaryZone.
12.Ifyourdogdecidesonitsownnottomovepasttheags,youcanmoveontothenextlessonandturno
the Base Transmitter.
