whennecessary,youcanmanagecachingmanually.Thissectionexplains:

Tomanuallycausedata ina cachetobemigratedto physicaltape, proceedas
follows:
1. IntheobjecttreeoftheVTLconsole,right‐clickonavirtualtapecache.
2. SelectMigrate to Physical Tapefromthecontextmenu.
Notethatalldataon thephysicaltapeisoverwritten.

1. Ifyouneedtoreleasespaceinasinglecache,intheobjecttreeoftheVTL
console,right‐clickonavirtualtapeca c he , andselectReclaim Disk Space.

console,
right‐clickontheVirtual Tape Library Systemnode,andselectReclaim
Disk Spacefr omthecontextmenu.
