4. Close the CAP. The lock automatically engages.

Notes:

• The host software determines what happens when you enter a cartridge

upside down or with an unreadable label. Under normal conditions, the

camera on the hand audits the CAP and recognizes that a cartridge is

present, but the hand does not move it. You must remove the cartridge from

the CAP and correct the problem.

• For some systems, you are prompted to type in a label number when no

VOLSER is read. If you do type in a label number, you might cause a

problem during an audit, because the camera still cannot read an

unreadable VOLSER on the cartridge.
