INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Before Using your Ice Maker • • • • Remove the exterior and interior packaging. Verify that you have the following parts: o 1 Ice bucket o 1 Plastic scoop o 1 Hose, 25 ft. o 1 User manual Before installing and using your new ice maker, let it stand upright for a minimum of 4 hours. This will reduce the possibility of a cooling system malfunction from improper handling during transportation. Clean the interior surface with lukewarm water using a soft cloth.
Electrical Connection WARNING IMPROPER USE OF THE GROUNDED PLUG CAN RESULT IN THE RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK. IF THE POWER CORD IS DAMAGED, HAVE IT REPLACED BY AN AUTHORIZED TECHNICIAN. • • • • • • • This ice maker should be properly grounded for your safety. The power cord of this ice maker is equipped with a three-prong plug, which mates with standard three-prong wall outlets to minimize the possibility of electrical shock.
OPERATING YOUR ICE MAKER Initial Start-up Operation 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. A licensed plumber must properly install the unit. Make sure the ON-OFF switch is in the OFF position. Plug the appliance into a 115V polarized and grounded electrical outlet. Turn the ON-OFF switch to the ON position. Make sure the metal lever inside is pushed down into the ON position. Make sure the water supply is on. As soon as the inner mechanism reaches the proper temperature, the icemaker will begin to fill with water. 7.
Ice Cube Quantity and Cycle Time Please use the information below to determine the cycle times for your ice maker prior to calling customer service. Your ice maker will make the first batch of ice in approximately 2 hours from the time you first turn it on. It will start consistently making ice every 40-50 minutes after the first batch. Energy-Saving Tip The ice maker should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat sources and out of direct sunlight. TROUBLESHOOTING You can solve many common ice maker problems easily, saving you the trouble of a service call. Try the suggestions below before contacting customer service. LIMITED WARRANTY ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY Within the 48 contiguous United States, for one year from the date of purchase, when this appliance is operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the product, warrantor will pay for factory-specified parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship. Service must be provided by a designated service company. Outside the 48 states, all parts are warranted for one year from manufacturing defects.
