Assembly 2 Assembling the Fireplace 1 Assembling the Surround Panels Locate the Front Panel with Control Button (EA). Align and insert the hardware on the edges of the Left and Right Surround Panels (B and D) with the pre-drilled holes in the edge of the Upper Surround Panel (C). Using Screws (BB), secure the Front Panel with Control Button (EA) inside the surround assembly (B, C and D) as shown.
Assembly (continued) 3 Inserting the Glass Panel Locate the Glass Panel (E). Carefully insert the Glass Panel (E) into the grooves of the Left and Right Surround Panels (B and D) as shown. Slide all the way in until the glass meets the bottom of the Front Panel with Control Button (EA). EA B E D 4 Attaching the Lower Front Panel Insert Screws (DD) through the pre-drilled holes in the Left and Right Surround Panels (B and D) and into the Lower Front Panel (F).
Assembly (continued) 6 Attaching the Side Panels the Front Fireplace Surround 7 Attach to the Main Assembly Attach the Left Side Panel (J), aligning the pre-installed hardware in the ends of the Lower Fixed Shelf (H) with the pre-drilled holes in the Left Side Panel (J). Tighten hardware, using a Phillips screwdriver as shown. The pre-installed cam locks with a Phillips screwdriver to secure. Repeat with Right Side Panel (K).
Assembly (continued) 8 Securing the Front Fireplace Surround to the Main Assembly Secure the front fireplace surround to the main assembly by tightening the Bolt (FF) with a Phillips screwdriver as shown. FF 9 10 Securing the Base Attaching the Base Turn the unit over so that the Front Panel with Control Button (EA) is now facing upward. Insert Screws (GG) through the Base (A) and into the edges of the main assembly.
Assembly (continued) 11 Attaching the Top Panel Locate the mantel Top Panel (G) and align the pre-drilled holes in the Top Panel with the pre-installed screws on the top edges of the main assembly. After inserting the screws into the holes, tighten the fasteners from underneath the mantel Top Panel (G) using a Phillips screwdriver as shown.
Assembly (continued) 14 Attaching the Insert Brackets 15 Installing the Fireplace Heater Locate the mounting Brackets (EF) and secure to each side of the Heater Box (EB) using Bolts (HH), as shown. Insert Bolts (FF) through the holes in the mounting Brackets (EF) and into the Left and Right Side Partitions (L and M) to attach the Heater Box (EB) to the Left and Right Side Partitions (L and M).
Assembly (continued) 17 Assembling the Log Set 18 Assembling the Fireplace Place the assembled Log Set into the back of the unit behind the glass panel. Push the tabs beneath the Log Set into the holes on the bottom panel. Route the wires of the Log Set Left (EC) and the Log Set Right (ED) down the back of the Ember Bed (EG) and into the receiving tabs to secure in place. Refer to the lower diagram. Gently plug the cords from both the Log Set Left (EC) and the Log Set Right (ED) into the ports as shown.
Assembly (continued) 20 Connecting the Fireplace Wiring Connect Key Button Connection Wire to heater. Insert the Ember Bed Connection Wire into the heater. Route the Ember Bed Connection Wire down the side surround rail and along the back of the Log Set, securing it in place with the clips as shown. 21 Placing the Back Panel Locate the Back Panel (I). Only slightly bend the wallpaper and fit it into the back of the fireplace.
Assembly (continued) 23 Installing the Tipping Restraint Hardware When the Tipping Restraint Hardware (CC) is properly installed, it can provide protection against unexpected tipping of the unit due to small tremors, bumps or climbing. Each Tipping Restraint Hardware (CC) includes one Unit Anchor, one Wall Anchor, one Anchor Tether, and two Anchor Screws. Use these to complete the following steps for a proper installation. Locate a secure wall stud behind the unit closest to the left side.

Operate remote transmitter at a slow measured pace. Press the remote control buttons with an even motion and gentle pressure. Repeatedly pressing buttons in rapid succession may cause the transmitter to malfunction. The remote is too far from the heater.
