Assembly 1 Installing the USB port AA Slide the USB output (AA) through the opening in the Middle Shelf (C). Gently secure the USB output (AA) in place using Screws (BB) and a Phillips screwdriver. BB C 2 Attaching the center assembly Align the Middle Shelf (C) between the Left and Right Side Partitions (B and D). Push together, inserting the pre-installed screws on the Middle Shelf (C) into the holes on the Left and Right Side Partitions (B and D).
Assembly (continued) 4 Attaching the base Align the Base (A) with the center assembly. Insert Screws (DD) through the Base (A) and into the pre-drilled holes on the edges of the center assembly as shown. Securely tighten using a Phillips screwdriver. A DD 5 Attaching the sides to the main assembly Align the pre-installed wood dowel in the Left Partition (E) with the edge of the bottom shelf. Secure together using Screws (DD) and a Phillips screwdriver. Repeat to attach the Right Partition (F).
Assembly (continued) 7 Attaching the door handles II Each Door Handle (II) has pre-attached screws. Remove these screws and place handles over the pre-drilled holes in the Left and Right Doors (J and K). Place the pre-attached screws on the other side of the Left and Right Doors (J and K) and tighten with a Phillips screwdriver through the door and into the handle. K J 8 Attaching the doors Lift the Left Door (J) and align the hinges with the pre-attached hardware on the main assembly as shown.
Assembly (continued) 10 Attaching the top panel Locate the Top Panel (G) and align the pre-drilled screw holes on the top panel with the pre-installed screws on the top edges of the main assembly. After inserting the screws into the holes, tighten the fasteners from underneath the Top Panel (G) using a Phillips screwdriver as shown. G 11Securing the back panels Place the Back Panel Brackets (HH) between the back panels and the grooves of the assembly as shown.
Assembly (continued) 12Inserting the adjustable shelves Locate the four Adjustable Shelves (L). Insert the Shelf Pins (KK) into the pre-drilled holes on the inside of each cabinet side panel at your desired height. Align all pins to the same height to ensure your shelf is level. Rest each Adjustable Shelf (L) on the Shelf Pins (KK) as shown.
Assembly (continued) 14 Installing the tipping restraint hardware When the Tipping Restraint Hardware (JJ) is properly installed, it can provide protection against unexpected tipping of the unit due to small tremors, bumps or climbing. Each Tipping Restraint Hardware (JJ) includes one Unit Anchor, one Wall Anchor, one Anchor Tether, and two Anchor Screws. Use these to complete the following steps for a proper installation. Locate a secure wall stud behind the unit closest to the left side.
Operation Operation NOTE: The control panel can be accessed at the upper-right corner of the insert. 1 Powering the fireplace 2 Adjusting the flame There are 5 brightness levels that can be selected and OFF (00) setting. Settings F5 - F1 decrease in brightness. Push the Power button to supply power to all functions of the fireplace and put the insert in a standby mode. Push the Power button again to turn off all functions.
Operation (continued) 6 Replacing the remote control battery 7 Disposing of used batteries When the remote control stops operating or its range seems reduced, it is time to replace the batteries with new ones. On the back end of the remote, press and slide the battery door open and remove the old battery. Insert two AAA batteries, checking that the + and sides of the battery match inside the battery compartment. Replace the battery compartment door. NOTE: Do not mix old and new batteries.
Operation (continued) 8 Power cord information This heater is for use on 120 volts. The cord has a plug as shown in the figure. Connect to properly grounded outlets only. Do not use a two-prong adapter. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/ power strip). 9 Patented Safer Plug® information This product is equipped with a Safer Plug®, which is an advanced safety device that helps detect electrical fires caused from faulty outlets.

Troubleshooting PROBLEM Fireplace stopped heating before reaching the desired temperature. ROOT CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION Fireplace has reached set temperature. Temperature around fireplace might be a few degrees higher than other area in the room. Set the fireplace to a higher temperature or always “on”. Display shows " " The thermostat sensor is broken or disconnected. Unplug the fireplace, remove the back panel of the fireplace and check that the thermostat is plugged into the main circuit board.
Troubleshooting (continued) PROBLEM Flame effect works but heater function does not and the emberbed flashes when the Heater button is pressed. ROOT CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION The heater is disabled. With the power on press and hold the Power button on the control panel for 10 seconds. Once re-enabled the emberbed lights will flash multiple times. There are no batteries. Change the remote batteries. The signal is poor. Operate remote transmitter at a slow measured pace.
