PREPARATION Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble, install or operate the product. To protect the product from possible scratches, please assemble the parts on a scratch-free surface. Estimated Assembly Time: 60 minutes Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Phillips screwdriver, scissors and utility knife. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 1.
4. Attach the completed assembly from step 1 to the base (A). Secure with bolts (AA) through the holes in the plastic blocks -- preassembled on the center left panel (I) and center right panel (J) -- and into the base (A) HAND TIGHTEN ONLY. 4 AA Hardware Used AA Bolt x4 A I J 5. Attach the center shelf (D) to the top of the assembly with bolts (AA) through the preassembled plastic blocks and into the center shelf (D). HAND TIGHTEN ONLY. 5 AA Hardware Used AA Bolt x 10 D 6.
7. Attach the mantel top (G) to the assembly using bolts (AA) through the plastic blocks into the pre-drilled holes on the bottom of mantel top (G). Note: A shorthandled screwdriver (not included) might be helpful. 7 HAND TIGHTEN ONLY. G Hardware Used AA Bolt x5 AA 8. Set the assembly upright. Attach the center back panel (P) and rear panels to the back of the assembly using truss head screws (DD) through the pre-drilled holes on the panels. 8 P Hardware Used DD Truss Head Screw x 36 DD 9.
10. Remove the preassembled bolt from the door pulls (FF), then attach the door pull (FF) to the left front door (E) and right front door (F) with the bolts. Align the hinges (II) to the hinge brackets (JJ), sliding hinges (II) over the hinge brackets (JJ) at the locked position. Tighten the preassembled screw on hinge bracket (JJ) to secure each door in place. 10 II JJ $ % & TO ADJUST HINGES To adjust door forward or backward, change keyhole slot position (Diagram 3a).
. Note: Be sure to read all safety information prior to installing the insert (T). Insert (T) should be installed in the fireplace as close to the final position as possible; two people are recommended for this step. 12 Install Insert From Back Lift insert (T) carefully into the back of the unit and center in the insert opening. Do not drag insert (T) across base (A), as it may scratch the unit.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS The heater can be operated by either the remote control or the control panel. Control Panel Display Front View of Insert (T) FUNCTION POWER ICON Remote (U) DESCRIPTION Use the POWER button to turn on or off the fireplace from the remote or control panel. Note: Holding the POWER button on the control panel for 10 seconds will disable the heater function. To re-enable the heater, press and hold the POWER button for another 10 seconds.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE • Dust the fireplace regularly with a soft, non-lint producing cloth or household dusting product. • Clean the fireplace with a gentle non-abrasive household cleaner. Make sure to dry the fireplace immediately with a soft cloth or towel. • Tips for using touch-up pen (GG): For scratches, stroke in direction of scratch. For worn areas, stroke in direction of wood grain. Rub excess cororant promptly with a soft cloth.
TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION Display shows “ ” The thermostat sensor is broken or disconnected. Unplug the fireplace, remove the back panel of the fireplace and check that the thermostat is plugged into the main circuit board. If this does not solve the problem contact customer service for a replacement thermostat sensor. Display shows “ ” The thermostat sensor is broken. 1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY The manufacturer warrants this product to be free from manufacturing and material defects for a period of one year from date of purchase, subject to the following conditions and limitations. 1.
