Choosing Your New Service Coil
Measure the height of the coil being replaced–choose the service coil with the
nearest height to the coil you are replacing. NOTE: Be certain new coil has at least
the same face area as the original coil.
1
Count the number of rows of tubes in one side of the coil (normally 2, 3, or 4 rows).
Choose the coil with the same number of rows as the coil being replaced.
2
Use the correct metering device–the service coil is shipped with a typical piston
for the coil. The metering device must be determined by the installing contractor.
Normally this means removing the piston or metering device from the old coil and
installing it in the new service coil. The contractor should, if possible, consult the
condenser data to ensure correct metering device for the installation. Installation
instructions are included with each coil.

NOTICE
All Service Coils are shipped from the factory pressurized with Nitrogen.
These coils do not contain any refrigerant.
Relieve Nitrogen pressure before opening the refrigerant circuit.
